The funny thing about Stampin’ Up!, for me at least, is that it’s almost like a family business. You see my Stampin’ Up! story doesn’t start with me, but rather it begins with my Mom. Way back in 1997, she first joined Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. A few years after that she gave me my first stamp set, a retired set that she couldn’t use anymore (and I still have some of those stamps today going all the way back to 1996).
Fast forward to 2013. I had recently started college and was looking for something to do with my spare time while I was home on breaks. I helped my mother clean out her stamp room and we began to get creative together. I had never considered becoming a demonstrator until this past year. With my fresh diploma in hand (an art degree if that doesn’t surprise you) and no idea what to do, I began helping my mom at craft fairs, classes, and any event you could imagine. We were like the dynamic duo, if the dynamic duo consisted of one Stampin’ Up demonstrator and her 22-year-old lackey.
After months of thinking on it, I decided to take the plunge and join my mom in this amazing world of fun and crafting. I’m a banker by trade and love being able to wind down with some crafting and a good wine. I’m also a teacher by nature and love showing people what stamping is all about. Perhaps one day you would like to take the plunge and join me in this fantastical world?
So that’s a little about me. Tell me a little about you. I love hearing everyone’s stories and would love to get to know you. Shoot me an email and I’m always ready to respond. I love making friends and I can’t wait to take you on this adventure with me.
xoxo,
Sarah
